Surprisingly enough I have had some local business owners that have said “oh I’m not interested in the Internet”, and I understand why they say that, so this article is not for them, but as you are reading it now I am assuming that your interested in being on the first page of Google, and that you would like it done for you. The fact is that if you are the owner of a local business you would be crazy if you were not interested in getting on the first page of Google, because that is where your local customers are looking for your business, services or products that you have for sale, or offer.
Not only do I know this but also the main search engines know it too, and that is why Google has started to show local results on their first page, as most of the people searching for something online are looking for it locally, so they created Google Places for local businesses to list their business on.
Let’s face it most local business owners are too busy running their business, to do this work, not only that, but they wouldn’t have a clue how to go about it, and why should they? They should do what they do best, and that is to run their business and give a good service.
