Most People Google It! to find Local Business London.

Google it! has become a catch phrase and most people now look on the Internet to find whatever it is that they are looking for, so local business London are now looking towards some help from Google, to find more customers for their businesses.

This is not just happening to local business London it is a global thing, as sales in the high streets are declining, and  proved by the number of empty shops, and yet sales on the Internet are souring at an alarming rate, and that’s why many local businesses are wondering why their local advertising is not working like it used to, they have found that no matter how much they spend on it, that their local business London is still not getting the customers that it needs.

Google Places is an extension of Google maps, they have a local business centre where businesses, can list their business, to create their Google Places business listing, which (if it is optimized properly) stands a good chance of getting on the first page of Google.

However there are only 7 listings on this first page, so not all local businesses will show up on it, and that’s why some of the national companies, who cannot have a local listing, unless they are based or have a local branch in the area, are prepared to pay for an ad on it.

It is possible to have a Google places listing without having a local business website, although without one it is unlikely to get the first page of Google, so it would be an advantage if you do have one, and it will work better with your local listing if the website is also optimized properly.

A lot of business owners have spent a money on a website only to be disappointed by the results that they have seen from it, they have been badly advised by their website designer or I.T. company who have not optimized the website properly, or even advised them about promoting their website, so the website has not performed very well.

This is also true for a lot of the large businesses as well, 95% of all the websites on the Internet are not optimized or promoted properly, and the search engines do not understand what the website is about so they don’t bother to present them in the search results.
